Welcome to G.P.S.!

Georgetown Partners in Safety is committed to making Georgetown a safer place in which to live and work. We work with law enforcement and other agencies in an effort to identify problems and work toward proactive solutions collaboratively.

Recently we held a Kid Care Kit day at the Georgetown Central School. We took pictures, fingerprints, and DNA samples (with parental permission of course) of all elementary school students. These kits were turned over to parents to be used in the event a child becomes missing or lost.

We have been very active in senior issues and have partnered with the Merrymeeting Area TRIAD, passing out fraud information and free Emergency Beacons.

Currently we are looking at a many projects ranging from senior issues to teens. If you are interested in making Georgetown a safer place in which to live and work, call Detective Manhardt at 443-8532. Meetings are casual and fun!

Looking forward to seeing you at our next meeting!
