HIRING INFORMATION

Thank you for your interest in the Sagadahoc County Sheriff's Department.

We have two categories of positions for which we accept applications, the Patrol Division ( Patrol Deputy ) and the Correction’s Division ( Correction’s Officer ). Part time opportunities exist in the same categories.

Qualifications:

Candidates must be in good health, be high school graduates or equivalent, be at least 21 years of age, and hold a valid State driver’s license with a clean driving record. All Applicants must have satisfactorily passed the Maine Criminal Justice Academy’s ALERT test.

Examination Process:

The examination process will include a physical agility test, a written test, psychological testing, a polygraph examination, an oral board, and an extensive criminal history background check.
